// ENVIUM PLATFORM · CONCEPTUAL ARCHITECTURE

How Envium works, one system at a time.

Six interactive explainers: the control plane, the provisioning lifecycle, multi-cloud boundaries, drift and reconciliation, ephemeral lifecycles and dependency ordering. Then the product workflow and the design decisions behind it.

Public-safe edition. Diagrams are conceptual and simplified. They show responsibilities and how work flows, never how proprietary mechanisms work inside.
01 · Platform control plane

Decide, execute, remember, observe.

The control plane decides what should happen, execution makes it happen, the data plane remembers what happened, and observability watches all of it. Start with the planes, then expand into subsystems.

02 · Infrastructure provisioning lifecycle

From a request to running infrastructure, in five stages.

Play it through, or step phase by phase. Each phase covers what happens, why that stage exists, and the problem it removes.

03 · Multi-cloud architecture

One model above, three providers below.

Every provider has its own boundary, identity system and network vocabulary. Focus a provider, or toggle layers, to see where Envium's responsibility ends and the provider's begins.

04 · Drift detection & reconciliation

Reality drifts. Nothing changes without approval.

Someone opens a port at 2 a.m.; a database is resized from the console. Walk through observing, comparing, reviewing and reconciling. Untick a change to leave it out.

05 · Ephemeral environment lifecycle

Every environment is born with an expiry.

Preview and test environments are only cheap if they go away. Run the three scenarios: one expires, one is extended, one fails during provisioning and is cleaned up.

06 · Infrastructure dependency graph

Order comes from structure.

An environment is a graph: a cluster needs subnets, subnets need a network, workloads need secrets. Provision it and watch the waves form; destroy it and they run in reverse.

07 · Product workflow

The interface is the last step of the architecture.

Configure an environment, read the plan, or ask EnvBot. Then press Deploy environment to follow that click through every system behind it.

08 · Design decisions

Three principles, and what each one costs.

The principles Envium is built on, each with the trade-off it accepts.

What this page leaves out, on purpose

The engineering achievement, not the recipe.

Envium is proprietary. This page shows the problems it solves and how its parts relate, at the level you'd find in a conference talk.
